1. Material to weave basket with. I chose to use decorative, handmade paper that you can find at any craft store. Feel free to use whatever you want though. It must be somewhat flexible but be able to hold its shape! Be creative (magazine, newspaper, wood, fabric, sheet metal etc.)
2. You will want to have lots of strips of tape ready.
3. Any type of straightedge, such as a ruler will help you with measuring and when you begin creasing the edges of your basket.
4. You will need a pair of scissors to cut strips of your material and the loose edges of your weave.
5. A hot glue gun is not necessary to weave a basket but it does help immensely when finishing your basket. It helps give a more finished edge.
